Teeth extraction might mess up BOY sway

Great..I planned to start swaying in August, which would be the best time for me if I were to deliver next summer when the kids are out. I just went to the dentist, and because I didnt get the "fillings"done a year ago when they suggested, I now need a root canal, which i'm not going to do. I'd rather extract the 2 back teeth and get a partial. The only thing is...I cant get into the dentist until 7/24! I wont be able to eat, so that will mess up my BOY sway! I know i'll be in pain and not eating, and maybe even losing weight (girls sway). I have to get this taken care of before I get pregnant because pregnancy could worsen the pain and you cant have procedures done in certain trimesters and my teeth are bothering me now. This sucks. I just want to scream at this situation!

Make super nutritous smoothies? I think you could make it work. I will be in a similar situation soon, I need some major dental work fine but like you have been putting it off.

Smoothies, hummus, pb with a spoon! How long would the pain last compared to the 6 weeks your on the diet??

A couple days aren't going to make or break you!!! The only time I'd ever hesitate is if that had fallen the week of ovulation in the month you'll TTC. I think if you even have a week of lead time it should be fine!

Can you get a second opinion?? I have had real bad luck with the "cash cow" type dentists of late - the ones that say one thing and then you go to a different dentist and find out you can actually get by with far less done.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I guess I could make it work, if I just prepare. I've come upon an even worse situation. I was planning on starting my STRICT sway (been doing It lightly, mostly hard to eat breakfast and keep snacking) first of July. I didn't get my depo in May as due, and just decided last week to buy internet cheapies opks to see when I'm ovulating to avoid pregnancy until I'm ready, since I haven't had a period yet. And thats to see if I would even ovulate and get a period by then, but I didnt have any problems coming off of depo the last time I took one. I think I ovulated early this am, and had intercourse yesterday with a 1 week gap! I told hubby every 4 days but we haven't been following, mostly because he gets home late and I get grouchy at night when I'm sleepy. I usually get the "middle pains" to know when I'm ovulating. I felt a "pop" from my right ovary afterwards yesterday during the day. Well I wiped last night and had ewcm, but I wasn't sure if it was that (it stretched pretty good) or left over fluid from my husband. I had been having yellow stretchy fluid for days before, but not the clear. Anyways, in the middle of the night, I began having left sided ovarian pain, pelvic cramps and left sided lower back pain. While I'm happy that I'm probably ovulating again this soon, I'm worried because If I do end up pregnant, It might be a girl. I looked up my charts from when I got pregnant with my last daughter, and I had the SAME pop on right ovary side then a lot of left sided pain. And my diet sucked, even though I've tried to increase certain foods. I'll keep ya'll updated. I even thought about trying to get another BD in tonight, but I think I ovulated already so.

You can get O pains before, during and after ovulation (and even without actually ovulating!) and you can even get EWCM for many days before O. It is not unusual for me to get EWCM and O pains starting as early as CD 3-5 some months and I almost always have it by CD 7-10 which is well before O.

That having been said, if you are at all worried about it, in future months if the situation occurs again, I would have another attempt!!! Sitting on one attempt and praying that you won't get pregnant can be a bad idea because in the off chance you do get preggo, then you only had one attempt.

I wanted to try for another attempt that night, and have him drink caffeine, use preseed and robitussin, and do it doggy style, just to up my chances in case. But he didn't want to! Let's just say one of us slept on the couch. If I end up pregnant and it's a girl, I think I'll be upset with him for not letting me try to increase my odds. This would be our last. And I put on another post how I'm having symptoms that I had only in my last pregnancy...

I answered your other post about the symptoms, but I will just say that you ALWAYS have a chance of a little man!! Plus you have tons of atomic blue dust (that's the good stuff!) coming your way, just in case.
