How important is weight loss?
and what if the scale isn't budging? I'm down 3 pounds since I started a month ago but it was all lost in a big whoosh. The scale just keeps teeter-tottering now. It's been looking like this (not exact values just an approximation to get my point across): XX2.2, XX2.8, XX1.8, XX1.6, XX2.8, XX2.4, etc. Just up and down and back up again with the same stinking pound! I got to XX0.8 one day and got really excited and the next time I checked I was back up to XX2.8. It is frustrating. I am following the diet, and lately I haven't been able to do 6 days a week but I work extra hard for extra long when I do to make up the difference (so I am getting 6 hours or more a week just not an hour a day for 6 days) and I wasn't really losing when I was doing 6 days a week either. If weight loss is very important then I don't know what I am going to do. I can NOT go any lower in calories and I am doing my best to stay within limits and make sure I get ENOUGH calories. On avg I eat 1,200-1,500 calories, try to keep my fat around 50g, my protein between 50g and 60g and carbs (about 80% or more of which are healthy carbs, on a typical day, usually consisting of WG bread, dairy, fruits and veggies, etc.) hover around 150-180g a day. Can anyone see anything I am doing wrong? Anything I can fix?
The only thing I can figure is it might be the clomid since I usually gain while taking it (took it 2 cycles last time, years ago, and gained 15 pounds in 2 months) but I don't know... Or I am built pretty muscular, always have been... maybe I am building muscle instead of cannibalizing it, or whatever it is that the body is supposed to do? If the scale isn't moving is that going to harm my odds? TIA.
