Clomid and thyroid
Hi,
I am hypothyroid but it has been controlled with meds and at a good level. I had it checked in May and it was perfect. June was my first month on clomid and doc retested end of June and my T4 is too high. The only thing different this month was the clomid so I'm wondering if it can effect my thyroid??

Too high as in needing more supplementation?

O.M.G. That probably explains my fatigue! I am hypothyroid too and I couldn't figure out why I've been so tired since starting the clomid. It just seems to be getting worse as time goes on. I take a combination of Armour and Levothyroxine and my Endo has been trying to get me to increase my Levothyroxine levels for a while now. I've been resisting because every time I try, I feel like it pushes me up to Hyper. Maybe I will try the higher dose and see what happens. Thank you so much for posting this!

I also take a combo of armor and levo and asked him to retest today because when I was ttc #2, my levels were a mess, constantly up and down and it took 1/2 a year to get the prescription right, so I'm hesitant to change levels unless my thyroid is really off.

I have not had any reports of this before so I'm keeping tabs on this thread!

Well, I took half of the higher dose yesterday and then the full higher dose today and so far it's been a dramatic improvement! I did have trouble sleeping last night but I don't know how much of that is side effects from the clomid. Other than that, I feel like I have my energy back to where I'm used to it being. We'll see how it goes for the next few days though. Usually when I go up to this dose, it gives me hyper symptoms after a few days. FX it works!!

I've been totally fine. Not having hypo or hyper symptoms on the higher dose. So far, so good! :)
