21 week ultrasound hoping tech was wrong...

Hey all you mama's of girls I'm a mama of boys and I'm really hoping maybe you all would know if there is any hope of this ultrasound picture being swollen girlie parts and not tiny boy parts. I feel that this baby is a girl but tech said 100% boy, I don't see it. She gave me the best shot she could get and it looks nothing like my other two boys. Please give me some good honest advice even if it's not what I really want to hear I need to hear it. Attachment 26385Attachment 26386Attachment 26387

I'm not 100% that it's a boy. I could go either way. Sorry, I know that isn't much help! Can you do one of the NIPTs? That would give you a definitive answer either way, if you really want to know before birth. :) MaterniT21 is a good one.

We have talked about getting anot her ultrasound or testing that would tell gender. But my husband wants me too be 150% sure that I doubt the tech because its so expensive for ultasounds and such. Right now I feel like this baby's a girl but there is also that small voice that says it could be a waste of money and that it will just confirm what the tech said.

That is always a possibility but I would want to know for sure. I don't know where you live but a few women have said that when they called the company directly and explained that their insurance didn't cover the test, they offered it at a significantly lower price. Maybe you could try that?

Unfortunately, the ultrasound tech knew what she was talking about - that's a baby boy.

The reason it might not look like another boy's potty shot is because sometimes the testes can take time to descend into the scrotal sac so it looks empty in the ultrasound images, possibly looking like a tiny vagina - when it's not.
Either that, or the image just didn't capture the testes in full.
