I had an appt yesterday, My OB asked if I'd like to know the sex. I am 15 wks and 3 days. Well I said of course. So he asked me to guess the gender then revealed what he saw. He said it's too early so don't tell the world just yet. I'm wondering if what he saw could change?
At 15+3 it should (depending on what baby's position is) be fairly straightforward to tell baby's gender from a potty shot. Maybe he just wanted to be absolutely certain and didn't want to get it wrong.
Do you have any pictures we could look at?
No, the doc gave me a guess mostly. At this appt I didn't have a scan by the sono tech unfortunately.
Possible that they could be wrong, but not super likely at this point. Most likely right but OB's are often less skilled at telling gender than techs are and it largely depends on what s/he saw (clarity) and their skill level.
My OB is actually a MFM. I think he didn't want me to get my hopes but which is why he gave me a disclaimer.

Thanks I'm still in disbelief. I've told just a handful of people. No FB posts just yet until the conformation on 9/10.
I think they can def tell at this time, so you better believe it! Huge congrats!
