New member from Sydney considering IVF with egg donation and PGD with Dr Potter - anyone similar ?

I would love to connect with any aussies having done or thinking of doing IVF with egg donation and PGD with Dr Potter (or any other Dr elsewhere).

With the aussie dollar so low, we have calculated an estimated cost of $13 000 (Ivf with pgd with meds) + 14 000 (egg donor agency) = $27 000 USD = $38 000 AUSD - plus travel and accommodation expenses we are looking at $50 000 AUSD - Is this a realistic estimate ?
Sounds crazy expensive to us !

My husband is 52 and I will be turning 50 soon. This would be a huge financial stretch for us and am concerned about financial/work pressure on DH as I am a stay at home mum. Still, the deep dream I've alwayshad persists ...

Is anyone else in similar circumstances? Would love to hear from you !

We definitely have people that have used donor eggs and donor embryos to conceive using GS. It is very expensive. There are less expensive options elsewhere in the world but I don't think you will get as much info about your donor(s) as in the US.
