+ions question

I know a lot of people here think ions are silly, but I don't want to leave anything out of my sway. I have a few ions questions, if anyone knows the answers:

1. I live in a windy place, and I can't really control that. If the windows are closed, does the wind still affect me?

2. We have a fresh air exchanger (not air conditioning) that runs 24/7. It brings air from outside, sends it through a filter, and then pumps it into the house through the heater vents. When it is cold, the heater overrides it. Does this count as a fan, and should I turn it off for a while when TTC?

3. How long do ions supposedly last?

It seems wind produces + ions http://factoidz.com/how-ions-affect-your-mood/ unless you're near sea or lake. Was your son conceived during winter or summer, in other words, were the windows open or not?

Ions are constantly in the air, both + and - and Imo if you want more + ions, you have to be around them as much as possible.

When my sister took her son to sea salt room ( he had sinusitis) they said the more often he comes, the results would be better. 1st day he was in there for 20 min or so, next day a bit longer, etc. ( Sea salt room=negative ions :sigh: )

We don't live near a sea or a lake. We do leave the window open a lot so I guess that's good! We didn't live in this house when I conceived my son. We were in the same town, but the house we are in now is up on a plateau, and it is super windy up here. Our old house was in the middle of town, where it is much less windy. He was conceived in winter, so the windows were closed. However, we did conceive my youngest daughter in this house, and it was summer, and the windows were open, so, I guess it didn't help much last time.

Bumping this to see if anyone knows about the fresh air exchanger?

Okay, that's great! SO even if it isn't air conditioned or heated, then that air is +ions, right? Thanks!

did you mean high levels of positive ions are undesireable for TTC girl????

what about laptops agian..i forgot. they are good to be used on laps for us ladies but bad for DH..? and why???

I think in general (not in the swaying/ttc world) +ions are considered unfavorable. I read a whole post on how +ions make people feel bad, etc. Supposedly we feel better and more settled around -ions. But who cares? We need +ions for our sway.

I don't own a laptop, so I don't know anything about DH and laptops. But if you have one, I know you should be on it a lot.

I'd be careful with the laptop - my DH sits with his on his lap every night and I don't mind that it's probably boiling his balls because we're swaying for a girl but you probably don't want your DH to do the same for a boy sway!!
