Comments regarding DW's diet changes- LE was such a massive change from my normal mega boy-friendly diet. It was actually quite an interesting experience for me to eat non-nutritious empty carbs food such as toast and jam (that I love but usually limit). I've never drunk diet coke in my life and had 3 cans a day for 10 weeks (small problem here of being slightly addicted to the stuff now). I used to have 4-5 cups of black tea with milk per day which I stopped cold turkey and replaced with the diet Coke.
I turned Strict vegetarian from my usual carnivorous diet, we usually have meat at every meal. Used quorn mince alot instead and got creative with vege lasagne/chick peas etc. When I cooked for my family sometimes I would just eat the veges and not the meat. No eggs either from normally 4-5 a week.
No snacking. Would normally snack on nut or cheese or fruit between every meal.
Wasn't obsessive about calorie counting and tracking nutrients as I roughly had a good idea about the content of most things. possibly slightly under-estimated which may have resulted in the sudden weight loss.
2 or 3 cups peppermint tea from CD1 to O, stopped after O as advised.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt? 10 weeks, pretty strict. 1 or 2 meat cheats in that time in 2ww.
Did you skip breakfast regularly? Yes
Did DH change his diet with you? Yes
Comments regarding DH's diet- Mostly vegetarian as I cooked the family meals. More alcohol - we got quite used to our celebratory end of the day Rum and Coke... "drink darling?" "oh go on then, it's for the baby".
We both had more cheeky cigarettes than normal - don't normally smoke regularly but enjoy the odd one with a drink.
DH joked that I was on a models diet of diet coke, cigarettes and alcohol! (p.s Atomic DID NOT recommend the cigarettes, that was my sway tactic, and I'm talking one or two a day and not every day)
I made him drink Soy milk in the morning but we were a bit hit and miss with this.
Chitosan Fibre supplements and Olive Leaf Extract.
Stopped buying him Multi-vitamins which meant he stopped taking them while I was on LE
DId you consume alcohol?
DId you try to limit caffeine? No, I drink caffeine regularly
Any Diet Details? Very hard for me to skip breakfast! I'd normally have a massive bowl of cereal/muesli/porridge (hello boys) as well as whole-grain toast. Looked forward with reckless abandon to 12 midday to be able to eat! I think my colleagues were wondering why I was obsessed in always going to lunch early.
Had alot of white toast with honey and jam as it's been my treat food since I was a kid and it felt great to be 'allowed' it. (and lose weight on it)
Still had enough veges and nutrients in evening meal to maintain health though.
Any Diet Comments/Additional Info? To be honest I was hungry alot. If nothing else the LE diet has taught me that no matter what my level of exercise, it's the food intake that matters. Less food = dramatic weight loss. I've spent my whole adult life trying to be thinner but always thought that exercise had to play a big role in weight loss.
Have always been a big eater and consumed probably 2500-3000 calories a day so 1800 cals and no snacking at all was hard for me.
I would chew gum and drink diet coke to keep the hunger pains away but I was sooooooo looking forward to every 900 calorie meal I had.
WEIGHT AND EXERCISE
What did you weigh/BMI do leading up to O? 57.2 kg (started at 63.5kg)
126 pounds (started at 140 pounds)
BMI 18.8 (lowest ever adult weight)
174cm or 5'9" tall.
Any Weight/Exercise related additional info/comments? Have never been overweight but always wanted to be thiiner. I've got to admit I LOVED being this thin - My body confidence was through the roof and I felt and looked great but DH and friends said I looked too thin. And my body did not like being this weight, I had to fight hard and be hungry to keep it this way.
It does make me wonder how models and celebrities stay as thin as they do - they HAVE to be hungry alot of the time surely?
Am so happy to be pregnant so I can eat again. Would definitely do LE again to lose baby-weight however.
Gave up all exercise as couldn't mange the recommended cardio. This however was a massive change for me.
I usually play competitive tennis once or twice a week, go running, weight training. I love to get hot and sweaty and win things (hello Boy Mum).
I feel like I've lost alot of muscle mass on LE. A bit soft and doughy now, I want to do a million lunges and get my arse back (if only early pregnancy wasn't making me so tired)

Things that make me feel great about my sway: My weight, my strictness on LE, the Diet Coke and alcohol consumption.
I felt that my Maternal Condition was declined to a level that was way way below where I conceived my boys.
One attempt at positive OPK
Avoided stress and competiton
Things that make me nervous about my sway: DH didn't quite manage 7-10 days of FR, he did about 4 in a row and then was stressed at work and too grouchy to comply. He then recovered enough to do one about 2 days before the attempt. So his sperm count would have been normal, not lowered.
We attempted in the supposed 'Boy' months. Didn't want to wait any longer for family spacing and financial reasons.
Wished I could have done intense cardio but it would have broken me.
Only 10 weeks on LE, I wished it was slightly more but am also glad it's over as I wanted to chew my own arm off with hunger sometimes.
Things worth mentioning: Looking back on my boy pregnancies I can now see how I couldn't get anything BUT boys. I was an unwitting perfect boy maker without knowing it. Tonnes of nutrients, weight training, loads of salt, competitive sport, dominant female traits, high sex drive - frequent masturbation (ooooh I missed that, I had 2 orgasms in 10 weeks, it felt like i had the female equivalent of blue balls)
I'm sorry I've written so much here but it feels so good to finally tell someone what I've been doing. I've kept it a secret from all but DH and my best friend.
