Reprogenetics PGD and CVS reveal different gender

My wife and I decided to do Ivf after having a de novo balanced translocation on our first go around (found by amnio). For our background: we are early 30s, healthy and do not posses balanced translocations. After our first experience with pregnancy we decided to use reprogenetics pgd product to at least reduce the risk of having something like that happen again. We got our embryo results back and one was "perfect" and happened to be XY (boy). We obviously went ahead and implanted the good embryo using the singleton method (only one embryo at a time). Four days ago my wife had a panorama blood test that revealed the sex of the baby is female now. Immediately we were forced to schedule a CVS as she is almost 12 weeks. Today we got the initial results from the CVS which also confirmed a girl. We are completely shocked and have been through a lot to get to this point. What I am afraid of is the microarray revealing something now given that I obviously can't trust the reprogenetics pgd. Or perhaps the wrong embryo was transferred. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you for your time.

Oh my goodness. What clinic did you use? Have you called them to ask for an explanation as to what happened?

I think the odds are very good that somebody goofed on the gender but the baby is still going to be healthy and normal. I'm sorry, I cannot imagine how unbelievably stressful this has to be to live through. I will keep my fingers crossed that when the CVS comes back it will be good news on the translocation.

Is it possible you got your wife pregnant naturally around the time of the transfer? I know it sounds crazy but it can happen! I hope your baby girl is healthy!

There are likely several possibilities. Was this a FET? If so, a natural pregnancy could be possible.

Was this day 3 testing? Day 3 testing isn't always accurate for GENDER.

Human error is obviously possible- simple mislabeling paperwork.

Transferring wrong embryo completely is a possibility...highly unlikely but possible. I am sure you have already contacted your clinic(the lab would not be responsible for this error because they just give results to your clinic. Your clinic always has the embryos in its' hands).

If you had the amnio last time and found the error, I assume you are planning an amnio again.

He posted on ingender that the the wrong embryo was transferred. They used one of their abnormal female embryo and discarded their healthy male. How heartbreaking.
