1-3 drinks per day from AF-O (you can have them after O in months you are not TTC). TEchnically should be with a meal, but many (including me) cheat on this aspect and have it between meals. :)
Why does it idially have to be with a meal?

:agree: It can make your blood sugar go up when you drink it, just like eating or drinking anything with cals or carbs in it.
Thats why i drank dry white wine. It causes the bloodsugar to drop.
And alcohol higher in carb will make bloodsugar spike for short period of time but it drops after that because of the alcohol.
BUT if you drink a drink, then half an hour later drink another, and another (talking about myself here LOL ) then your blood sugar never really has enough TIME to drop between and stays higher, longer than if you'd had it with a meal.
Now granted we don't know that this makes a difference, it's just why I recommend with a meal. :)
So do you think it's best to drink rt bf dtd when O is coming or abstain from the drinking to keep blood sugar low? I assume even plain vodka or hard liquor stills rises blood sugar? !
Anyone know about the alcohol and dtd, abstain to keep blood sugar low or drink bc it sways!?
But we dont' even KNOW that blood sugar levels in and of themselves matter (I think it's much more likely that it is the action your body takes to keep blood sugar in normal range, we call this "blood sugar" as a shorthand way to talk about it but it's probably more when your body has to burn stores to keep blood sugar stable, that sways pink) And we KNOW for a fact 110% that it is what matters in the LLLOOONNNG term 12 weeks or more that matters. If doing something for one day could sway in any appreciable way, we'd only do diet, supps, alcohol for one day.
Do what is working for you. We don't have the data to know things to this high level of detail (and I'd be lying if I said I did) but I'll betcha $$$$ that NOTHING we do for a few days around O do much of anything for a sway.
