I've been reading how the stats go down if you try for a third and want a different sex but then I've also read you have a 75% chance of having mixed gender kids if you have three. Which one is true?

..I'm no expert but I think even if you have 3 of one gender the chances of a 4th of the same gender, only drop by around 1 or 2%, to around 48% certainly nothing major which must admit surprised me.
The 75% stat is before you have kids, so your chance of having a mixed gender family then (out of 3) is 75%. Your chance to have a girl (or boy!) each time is around 48-50% no matter what your other children are.
Okay. Maybe these stats are old. I know I saw one on the IG site. I'm hoping my sway will help but according to those stats, you're more likely to get a different gender after 1 or 3 of the same rather than 2 of the same. That's the least likely.

Not true, for TTC a boy your odds actually GO UP after 2 of one gender. Gender Odds :: Natural Gender Selection, IVF/PGD Experts | genderdreaming.com
75% of all people who have 3 kids have mixed genders. They may have gotten them after the first two though so that is not a reliable number.
