I know they cancel each out if you take them together, and that soy improves egg development/quality...
so could you take the soy say from CD4-9 (or whatever) then switch to the vitex?

I wouldn't. They aren't like flipping light switches off and on, they trigger a chemical/hormonal process that continues for a long period of time and so if you stopped vitex for 5 days while you took the soy, the soy is going to interfere with the processes that the vitex had begun and then restarting the vitex will interfere with the processes the soy had begun.
What you can do is take vitex every day for a month (AF-AF) and then stop it on CD 1, then take the soy from days 3-7 or whatever you choose, and then repeat that every otehr month. That will cut down on your opportunities to sway, but I do know of one person who did just that and did get a girl from it.
if you did that, which months would you TTC in?
Like, every other?? I mean, you would take the vitex all month for one month, stop the vitex when AF showed, then take the soy from CD 3-7 or whatever, wait to see if you got pg that month, then if you didn't, start taking the vitex again for the next month and not TTC that month.
If you have the ability to choose, I would time it for two attempts either Feb and April or March and May. So you would start vitex in January and take it all month and not try, stop the vitex and take soy and have an attempt in Feb, take vitex in March and don't TTC that month, take soy and have an attempt in April. That way you have a couple attempts in the "girl peak."
Or, you could even do attempt + soy in Jan, Mar, and May, taking vitex in Dec, Feb, and April or do attempt + soy Feb/April/June, taking vitex in Jan/Mar/May.
But be prepared because soy could delay your ovulation and also make it hard to detect the exact day of ovulation but then again it might not affect you that way :)
my ovulation is already pretty delayed - last 2 cycles have been CD 28 then CD31! I've only just started the vitex this month so maybe I'll wait and see.
My DS was conceived March 31st lol, so not too concerned about the month-thing.
i took them together and it worked fine. i still ovulated the same and everything but never got a bfp. im only doing clomid now.
I took soy with my last baby and conceived a boy
