Thought it would be a boy for sure! Likely to continue having girls?

I started lurking on this site over the summer just for general TTC/fertility information, not attempting to sway either way, but I thought it was interesting to think about how what I was doing would possibly sway. When I found out I was pregnant I was pretty sure it would be a boy. We had sex every day leading up to ovulation, used pre-seed every time, and waited 30 minutes before going to the bathroom after sex. I also used soy isoflavones cd 1-5 since my previous cycles had been very long and unpredictable, the cycle I conceived using the soy I ovulated on cd 22. From what I understand all of this combined makes it quite a bit more likely for blue, right?

Well it's been confirmed by NIPT and ultrasound that in July I'm definitely having a little girl! I was surprised but very excited! The only pink friendly things I really did were my diet which I did not change at all from what I normally eat (pretty processed carb heavy, low on protein), baby aspirin daily, and 1-3 caffeinated drinks a day and 1 occasionally 2 light beers per day.

I'm just wondering if I can assume that since I did so many blue friendly things and still ended up with pink if it's likely that in the future I will have more girls than boys? I know no one can say for sure and anyone can have either but just curious what your first thoughts are :)

My 2 DD's were concieved under ideal girl sway conditions unintentionally (i did not sway for either but just realized this after researching GD ) so it gave me hope that if i do a boy sway i might have a good chance, infact i was really hopeful since everything i did was opposite to the things i did for girl conceptions but my sway failed and i am expecting DD3.
The point is even if u follow the sway to the t there r so many other unchangable unknown factors that its not a guarrantee plus i feel luck/fate has an important role, u get the child u were destined to get.

No, I don't think it does. I just think that your diet probably swayed so strongly pink, that it overruled the other blue things you were doing. It's also possible that you were doing other pink things without realizing it.
Also, like Bluebooties said, it's always 50/50.

Without knowing more about your exact dietary intake, exercise level, lifestyle, DH, and your own personal biology I can't say how 'set' you are for pink vs blue. But it's NOT true that it's 50/50. First of all, it's more like 55/50 (higher chance of blue) averaged for the entire population. Second, every woman at the point of conception has unique odds individual to her at that point in time due to many factors. Yes, some of these factors may be innate and unlikely to chsnge in the future but we don't understand most of those factors or even know what they are. But I'd say it's rare that any woman has exactly 50/50 odds for any conception. Third, MOST women can have both genders readily and aren't strongly preset towards one or the other - this site has a lot of the more extreme cases, but they really are the minority. Whether YOU personally are in this minority or not no one can know, especially not after just one child. It's just not a big enough sample size.

Even the best sways only work 80% of the time. This time the cards just didn't fall your way. That does NOT x a million mean you "can't make boys". All women can make both boys and girls and in fact studies have shown that you are actually statistically more likely to conceive a boy after conceiving a girl than the other way around.
