Yes it's fine as long as you don't have PCOS.
I don't know where that "don't eat sugar for boys" idea ever came from. Not me! AS long as you're having both protein and carbs together (sugar is carbs) you absolutely can have sugar. I ate gobs of it when I got my boys!
