Morning! I'm trying to get my head around the every four days pattern; would bd Thursday, Tuesday, and Sunday and so on be frequent enough or does a day between need to be dropped if not using opks??x

Did you BD this past Thursday? If so, the next BD should be Monday and then again on Friday and so on.
So 3 BD-free days between BD then?x
Yes exactly. BD on the fourth day.
Brilliant!! Thank you xx
:agree: that is how most people are doing it.
But, it doesn't have to be a hard and fast RULE so if something happens and you miss a day, just pick it back up again the next day and go on from there. It is not the e4d patter that matters, it's just htat is a handy way to do it. You could even stretch it a day and give it 4 days between BD (so every 5 days) this may be a better pink sway but lower odds of conception.
Sorry if I'm just adding confusion to a simple question but I keep finding people who think there is something about the pattern itself that is swaying. It's not, it's just an easy way to be in with one attempt, and if it goes a little sideways don't worry about it!
Why exactly is E4D effective in comparison to BD 2-3 days before ovulation? Also, why is ONE attempt also effective?
Also, is E4D starting from the day AF ends?
Thanks!
We have no idea why one attempt works. This is one of those things that no one EVER guessed might be swaying. But because we track our results differently than other sites do (including everyone even if they do not do things "our" way so our results are with people doing many different combinations of sway tactics, which allows us to better see the things that actually work on their own) we were able to discern that things like frequency and jelly and antihistamine and timing were getting much lower results than one attempt. (and in fact, when we kept those other things and then added attempts, that was our lowest results in the history of the site!!) Then we started to focus on one attempt and put less emphasis on the other stuff, our results improved and have stayed consistent ever since.
We KNOW for a fact that timing does not and cannot sway. It's been totally debunked and you can read that story here http://genderdreaming.com/forum/gend...le-timing.html Most of us on here have 2-3-4 or more timing opposites so we are all very down on it. You CAN use timing if you would like to, but just stick with no longer than 2 or 3 day cutoff and KEEP that one attempt!!!
You can start e4d whenever you want to, really. During AF, after AF, whatever, as long as you start it before you're due to O and continue after until you're 100% sure you have ovulated (even if it means all month long till next AF shows up!)
There is no pink sway magic to e4d. It's just an easy way of ensuring you're always in with one attempt in the fertile window.
