Bleeding....?

I'm embarrassed to ask because I really don't know what's going on here ... But I had a period April 9th and was due to AF May 7 and period didn't come. Then may 9th I got old dark brownish spotting. Then everyday since then I get blood but only when I go to the washroom. This has been going on for 5 days now.
Is this a period trying to come back? Could this be pregnancy related? Implantation or miscarriage? I really have no clue what those would look like or what symptoms I would have.

Have you taken a test? That would be my first step.

Take a pregnancy test to be sure but it sounds to me like a very light period/breakthrough bleeding which is not unusual while BF.

If BFN, treat it like a period because whether it's a true period or breakthrough bleed it still acts the same as a hormonal reset button.
