Question for Atomic
Hi Atomic,
My sister would like to start gender swaying for a girl.
She is taking folate currently.
Her husband is taking olive leaf extract.
What dosages of these should they be taking? And what other supplements should they be on?
They know about one attempt at positive opk with abstaining. And she is doing the LE diet and skipping breakfast.
Regarding lube they are looking at rephresh/replens or acigel as they used sylk when they conceived their son. Which lube do you recommend?
Thanks!

If she's doing any kind of restrictive sway diet, 1200-1600 mcg folic or folate. If not, she can do 800 mcg. (oh duh I see now she's doing LE - so 1200-1600) Wean back to amount in prenatal after first trimester
OLE - 500-1000 mg daily starting now till BFP and then wean off at BFP.
I can't comment on any other supps without knowing more of their background since not all supps are right for everyone.
Coffee and alcohol and fiber can be used by most people though and all have gotten good results for us.
None of the lubes have gotten stellar results (all seem neutral). I have many people use RepHresh every 3 days or so and then Acijel an hour or two before attempt or as a lube for comfortable intercourse. I don't use Replens much.

Thanks Atomic. She is wanting to take calcium and magnesium for herself and DH. What dosage for those two.
She doesn't want to take anything else.
The fibre though she wants to do. Something like Metamucil? Or do you recommend something else, also what doesage?
They will both have peppermint tea.

If they are doing pep tea then her husband must not do licorice and she must not do saw palmetto at the same time.
600 mg calcium and 150 mg magnesium for her, 800 mg cal for DH and 200-250 magnesium for him (depending on if he can tolerate more, because it can cause diarrhea) Do NOT have any added Vit. D in this - that sways blue.
Any fiber is fine provided that it has no added ingredients. (this may help a bit if DH does it as well) She should start off with a low dose and see how she tolerates it. No one ever needs the very high dose on the bottles, that is for people who have chronic health issues. Use it only with meals containing fat or fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E, K (orange and dark vegetables, dairy)
