DIET
Did you follow a diet plan? Yes
If yes to diet, which one did you most follow?
Comments regarding DW's diet changes- No breakfast for 5 months, only 2 or 3 meals a day, no snacking, always feeling hungry, hardly any meat except for chicken and hard boiled eggs; had it almost every day either one of them but not both.
Somehow, I wasn't missing red meat which made think I must be getting enough protein and a bit worried too, iykwim?
Loads of vegetables, salads and fruits including bananas, tomatoes and potatoes daily. Hardly any dairy products except for fat free yogurts.
No juices except for light cranberry juice I drank for UTIs 3 or 4 times during the sway.
Had homemade soups almost every day with a toasted wholemeal pitta bread.
I wasn't counting calories or anything, just knew I was eating way less than before and totally different to when I conceived my first 2 boys.
Hardly had any major cheats as I was already eating white chocolate almost every day, but sometimes I would miss my old breakfast bowel of muesli and have that as a lunch once every week with fat free yogurt.
Stopped cooking with the healthy oils.
If diet was used, length of time before attempt? 5 months with 2 weeks off in March. Although I wasn't totally off the diet, but I would eat whatever everyone else was eating and I would still watch my portion sizes, and I wasn't eating breakfast but I would have something very late at night; mostly junk though.
Did you skip breakfast regularly? Yes
Did DH change his diet with you? Yes
Comments regarding DH's diet- He was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes early March after he symptom spotted himself (had my suspicions too) and had to change his diet and exercise routines, and also go on Metformin. (Thank God it's under control now).
So, he was eating so similar to what I was eating and completely different to when the boys were conceived.
He cut off all refined carbs, sugars and juices. He started watching his portion sizes too, introduced lots of veggies and fruits. Also changed to low/fat free dairy products.
As for meats no change for him, he ate red meat almost every day.
DId you consume alcohol?
DId you try to limit caffeine? No, I drink caffeine regularly
Any Diet Details? I started drinking 2 cups of coffee and 1 cup of tea daily. Added a bit of cinnamon in my tea and fake or white sugar in my coffee.

Things that make me feel great about my sway: Long time on diet, exercise, fibre, breastfeeding 5 or 6 times a day my toddler as he was not on cows milk yet, coffee, cinnamon, fake sugar, weight loss and second month of off the Pill. Also DH's changes to his diet and exercise. I was also sleep deprived around the conception time as DS3 was teething.
Things that make me nervous about my sway: Not counting calories, protein or fat. Taking 2 weeks off of almost every thing.
Things worth mentioning: I decided to stay on the diet longer this time as I had a failed sway last time. I included fibre too. I also did not take multivitamin since the baby was 6 months and I conceived when he was 16 months which is so different from last time.
Thanks to Atomic for all the hard work she has put into this wonderful site and for making people's dreams come true![emoji177] [emoji177] [emoji177]
