Do You Agree With Tech??? (12wks 1dy Potty Shot) Desperate Please

It's all my fault! I thought I'd be clever and secretly attend an elective sono ahead of my 12 week visit. Why, oh why did I go and do such a dumb thing??? Because of course the tech blurts out "Oh wow did you see that mom? I think this might be boy number three!" I know she didn't mean any harm, as two seconds later she recognized the nervous smile that I was trying to force and reassured me that's it much to early for anything to be "100% confirmed" and she sincerely apologized for even mentioning it in the first place...

But the damage has been done. And I'm terrified she only mentioned the last bits because she felt bad and not because she had any doubt in her prediction.

I've been told by others not to put too much into a 12 week scan but I'm just desperate to know if I'm a fool for holding out hope that this LO might be a girl 💔💔💔Attachment 33334

That's a potty shot. You can't use those for any sort of reliability that early.

You really need a nub shot and even then its still a bit early at 12+1. I think it is still 50/50 on if it is a girl or boy at this stage!

When is the next scan? Hopefully you can get a good profile shot showing the nub.

Baby would not cooperate for a proper sideview/nub shot unfortunately! ��

My next official scan with the doctor is in two weeks buuut I had scheduled another elective scan for this Wednesday to see if I couldn't get a really nice one for Nub. I know it's crazy to keep forking over the extra money but I can't do these sleepless nights and constant Googling.

Potty shots of 12 weeks are useless and that the tech would say that indicates she does not have a level of knowledge that would make her worthy of being listened to anyway. :)

I thought they all looked the same from potty shots at that stage? I wouldn't loose hope of your girl yet

I'm sorry you had to experience this. However, I would be prepared to hear boy at next scan, just in case. Hugs to you.
