E4d or frequent release

Hi,

We are nearing the time for our first attempt (exciting and scary!!) - I know before it was recommended to do frequent release or abstain and then one attempt in fertile window but I have now seen a lot about every four days.

Which is more likely to sway pink? We are not going to risk abstain because my husband is 44 but I do not mind if we don't conceive this month so if it makes a better sway to do frequent release outside the body and then one attempt in fertile window, I'm happy to do this. If we dtd every 4 days - should he still try to release outside the body on other days too?

I really honestly do not have the ability to know that. The thing is that the groups of people who do those things are different in other ways. We would need to do a blind side by side study in people who were doing nothing else to sway in order for me to know which option is better.

If it were me, I would start off doing FR plus one attempt and see if you can get pregnant that way. Then you can go to every 4 days (and whether to have him release in between attempts is totally at your discretion, obviously odds of conception would be higher without the releases, but odds of pink may be higher if he does them)

Fab thank you. We will try FR plus one attempt this month then e4d next month with a release inbetween and see how we get on! We got pregnant first month with both boys so will see how things differ now on diet and think again if not getting pregnant. In no huge hurry other than wanting old diet back!!
