I'm new around here and trying to figure out the wmbesg way to use the site.

Is there an app?

Can I save and follow threads ?

What I find easiest is to comment in a thread you want to keep track of, and then go up to the top of the page and you'll see a "my posts" button above. Click that and you can easily see just the threads you have either started or commented in.

Mummy81 if by the app you're referring to tapatalk then its fantastic and all I use. Once you comment in a thread you are subscribed to it (but all you have to do is untick it if you don't want to be) You can view by forums, unread, subscribed and participated using tapatalk. You can also set up to get notifucations when a new post is written in a particular thread. It's very user friendly :) won't take you long to find your way around at all.

I find it easier to use the web version instead of app (tapatalk)....
