Doing the deed question *

Confused ... what is the point of dtd every 4 days and at pos OPK ?? ... can't I just do one at pos OPK? Or is it better to do it every 4 & pos OPK ?

For reasons we can only guess at, one attempt has appeared to be very pink friendly (regardless of timing, frequency, etc) But not everyone can do one attempt, or wants to. To very basically describe the situation:

Most people start off trying for one attempt at positive OPK.

BUT some people are in a hurry to get pregnant
OR have not had success DTD at pos OPK
OR their husbands won't do just one attempt
OR they don't reliably get positive OPK
OR they get too stressed out trying for one attempt
AND they either start off doing every 4 days or switch to it after having tried one attempt at pos OPK for a while

Some people are in a BIG hurry to get pregnant
AND/OR have not had success with one attempt or e4d
SO then they do both every 4 days AND then also add in an attempt at positive OPK.

Some people are in a big hurry to get pregnant
AND/OR have not had success with one attempt or e4d
BUT they don't get positive OPK
SO they then do e3d instead.

I did every four days because my ovulation date kept changing and I was afraid I would miss it with OPKs. It was more relaxing, and less stress, to just do every four days and not worry too much about the OPK. I only did e4d, not an extra at pos OPK (I couldn't have even if I wanted to because I never got a positive, but thanks to e4d, I caught the egg).
