TrT and HCG URGENT!!!

I posted in later moms but not really getting any replies.

Dh gets TRT every 12 weeks. I have just found out that the meds given to him are sometimes called the 'male contraceptive' to say I'm devastated is an understatement. His Dr said nothing about this. I'm looking into HCg shots. These are supposed to kick start the sperm making process and keep the man fertile. Has anyone any experience with these or anything related? I'm desperate as time is ticking by and I'll be 38 soon.
I'm not sure if it's worth our while TTC at all. I'm trying to find out if next month would be worth a shot? I know this month would more than likely be a waste of time :(

Any advice or comments appreciated.

Ok, I hit up my weightlifter websites and I can assure you that this is NOT a dealbreaker. The studies were done using monthly shots of testosterone - so the guys had to be given an injection every MONTH and not every 3 months. This does NOT mean that for a month he's infertile, it is cumulative over time.

The interesting thing I learned is that many guys, having read this study (if u think we are crazy for studies on swaying forums, the weightlifter forums are absolutely gaga over studies!) decided "oh ok this means I don't have to wear a condom any more" with TRT injections every 3 months (just like your hubby is doing) and there were TONS of guys who found out this was NOT the case. :babym:

The other thing is, this is entirely reversable if he were to come off of the TRT it will undo itself over time. So I would def. consider suggesting hcg or Clomid instead and allow his T levels to rise naturally.
