Inositol, do you need to wean off?

I'm currently taking 4g of myo inositol and am hoping to start ttc this cycle. Do I need to stop taking this at ov or bfp or what do most people do?

I would have you wean back to 2 g right away, and then in the 2ww go to 1 g. At BFP finish the weaning off process by spacing doses furhter and further out till down to one per week, then you can drop them (unless told by your doctor to continue into pregnancy)

So 4g is too much while actively ttc?

I'm not sure if dh will be around this cycle for us to try (he works away) but I will drop to 2g just in case

I don't know a single solitary soul taking that much anywhere at all except for someone who had a seizure disorder so that's why I would have you dial that back. I've seen mainly people take 500 mg, 1 g, or 2 g.

Maybe I got the dosage wrong. It says on the bottle 2 heaped scoops twice a day. Each dose is 2000mg?

I cannot recommend that much period regardless of what it says on the label.

I only recommend things I've seen people take and have healthy babies afterwards. I haven't seen anyone take that much and I can't sign off on it

4mg is being used to treat egg quality by more REs regardless of PCOS.

I cannot sign off on this dose for people because I have not personally witnessed several people using that dose and HAVE seen one person taking a high dose for a seizure disorder that became temporarily infertile till we ditched it.

Just follow your gut instincts, all I can do is give the advice that feels best to me. :)

Thank you throwaway and atomic for your replies. I was just following the dosage on the bottle so assumed it was fine but I have gone back to 2g in the morning and will go down further at bfp. Dh was not around at the crucial time this cycle so fingers crossed for next cycle. Going to be very strict with my diet for the next few weeks.
