Changes to AF

I stopped breastfeeding dd5 in Feb this year, got first AF in March (never had it at all the whole 22 months I bf) and have noticed it has been different from before dd5.

I have never had pre AF spotting in my life. Now I have it most months and then - cd1 light
Cd2 very heavy (need a pad and a tampon!!)
Cd3 med
Then a day of light and day 5 it sometimes stops for hours then starts again. I always had a 5 day med-heavy-med-light af before.
I'm worried because I've noticed a lot of girl swayers saying they started spotting when they started swaying.
Maybe it's my age? ( 38 last month)
Any advice welcome :)

As a general rule I think any change in cycle while swaying is typically good. Our periods are all very different from one another, it's when your period goes from one thing to another while swaying that it may be an encouraging sign.

That's really very similar to my periods when I got my boys. A light day, a heavy day, medium day, and then another light day and yes, I did often, not always, but often have like 12 hours with nothing and then a few more hours of flow seemingly at random.
