How bad I ruined my sway??

I'm sooo disappointed at myself.

Little background: I'm 38 (DH 41) and we tried ttc a girl after 2 boys (age 9 and 11). The first two were conceived on first month trying. DS1 with sex on ovulation, DH2 with sex 4 days before ovulation (we were trying the timing theory). I've got a faint bfp last Friday at 11 dpo, since then is getting darker, so I am pregnant.

We really started ttc in October, but for the last year we didn't use any birth control. I have a really stressful job, I am constantly under tremendous stress. In addition, we are just in the process of buying a new home, so we are both under additional stress. I tried to follow the LE diet for the last couple of months: I would skip breakfast (only drank kefir late morning), I mainly ate pasta, rise, zucchini....no fruits, very poor diet. I've found myself several times not have a bite till 2 pm. In November I had a terrible cold and herpes, I've lost a couple of kilos. My cycles were pretty regular - alternating each month from 25 to 26 days. Just the last cycle was stranger - 28 days, but period was really odd - light. My LMP was 1st December. My OPK turned dark positive on the 10th December at 5 pm, usually I ovulate within 12 hours from that. My DH had severe back pain during those days, so we haven't had sex several days before. We DTD on the 12th morning, more than 36 hours after positive OPK. I thought it was way too late for me to get pregnant. And 2 weeks later here we are...As I am really dry (I have really little cm, mostly is creamy or at the best watery) we have to use some lube. This month we used sylk, previously we had used Durex 100 % natural lube (or at least so is stated on the label, with PH that mimic vaginal ph). We also drank quite a lot of peppermint tea.

During so far, my TTC pink is not so bad...BUT, here's the deal:

My DH is 41 and in the last year I've noticed that he had some problems in the DTD department - lower sex drive and his ejaculation was very slim, few drops, sometimes I've barely noticed it....so he started taking maca pills. And now I've read that it sways strongly blue!

So, now I'm really eating myself up. We practically had sex during ovulation, my DH took supplements for improving fertility and I've ovulated early (CD 11 or CD 12) - I've read that short cycles favors boy. Basically I've done everything wrong! My main concern is maca. How bad is it if DH was taking it (I wasn't)?

What do you think? Are there any hopes or I would just be better getting use to another boy? Please, be realistic, say it as you see it :)

There's always a chance at having a girl, swaying or not. Timing doesn't sway so please don't worry about that! Congrats on your pregnancy and FX for pink!

I think Maca may even sway pink, I don't want anyone taking it because it's had a lot of weird side effects for people but I would not worry about Maca at all, I don't use it and don't recommend it for anyone.

Timing doesn't work. It doesn't sway. You had one attempt which DOES work so I would feel good about that.

What you are describing is not LE Diet. It doesn't sound like you are eating enough. I understand you're already pregnant but for the benefit of others who are reading this thread, no one should wait till 2 pm to eat. Swayers, you need to please follow the LE Diet here: http://genderdreaming.com/forum/tryi...l-version.html and not just cut back on food because that ends up being a starvation diet. LE Diet is a safe pre-pregnancy diet and starving yourself is not allowed.

With DS2 I had some severe gender disappointment as I was 100 % sure that timing and Shettles was the key to my pink dream. This was almost 10 years ago and back than I red the IG forum. It took me several years to take the courage to try to ttc again, because I felt really terrible when I was told that my dreamed girl was in fact a boy. A boy that I simple adore with all my heart. But the daughter dream is still here...

As I understood from posts on here, the key of swaying is doing everything opposite from what we did for our boys. I somehow find the theory "when times are tough, girls are conceived" very logical. My diet was really a bit too strict, but was also a result of a specially stressful period and some gastric reflux problems and it was not intended to be so strict. Now I'm back on with normal meals.

I do have two more questions:

- Sylk as a lube, how successful it is? In the last couple of years I became really dry,
these was not common for me when I felt pregnant with the first two. As I understand this is good for girl sway but how sylk lube fits in to that?

- And Maca again. I've red that it increase sperm count, sperm mobility and volume. My DH took it the last month, but lower dosages (1500 mg) and not regularly. I think it may had increased his ejaculation volume...not sure about that although...There are some experiences about taking maca and conceiving girls?

I know it is what it is. But I simply cannot stop obsessing about every step that lead to this pregnancy.

No, the key of swaying is not doing everything the opposite of when you got boys. It's doing what has worked for most people most of the time - like doing one attempt which you did.

I'm not trying to chastise you over diet, just worried about other people reading what you ate and thinking that is LE Diet.

Sylk has not seemed to be very effective for pink. It does not sway blue, but it hasn't really helped much.

I don't use or recommend maca because it has some chemistry in it that may sway pink. I don't recommend ANYONE take it. If you Google it I'm sure you'll find tons of people who got girls while using it.

O, God, I still cannot find peace...I'm going over and over our attempt that obviously got me pregnant...I really thought that it was too late. My OPK was strong positive on the 10th, on the 11th I felt the standard O symptoms and we DTD 12th morning. Usually I Will done J&D but that morning I laid down for half an hour before getting up...

The more I analyze my attempt, the more it seems an attempt for a boy.

As I said before, my DH has a quantitative small ejaculation (41 years old). Would not doing J&D being so bad for swaying?

We have found one attempt to be strongly pink friendly. I know TONS of people who had Shettles boy attempts and got girls that way.

When I got my daughter (my husband was 42) I stayed laying down all night.
