2ww but freaking out now?

Im currently waiting to see if Ill get that BFP this week. My Ovulation usually orrurs a couple days following my period ends so my cycle is a bit different. I got a positive OPK on January 2nd at 2pm So I take that to mean I ovulated the next day or soon after. and we had our attempt on Dec 31 and since it was close enough I left it at that. I have two children and one loss months back. I know my body like clockwork and I feel I am positive Im pregnant. Ive been having serious tummy twinges (which I have never had, even during AF unless I was pregnant), and cramping the past 3-4 days. I was trying to stick to my LE diet and so far still skipping breakfast, but im definitely having a bit more to eat later in the day and snacking a bit because Im SO hungry the past days. Im still getting BFNs though im 14 dpo...

There are a few things that Im freaking out about right now. I recently was reading on here how bad to abstain is for men around 35. I dont know HOW I didnt come across this importance earlier. Heres why I worry. Im 28 right now and my husband is 34. Last year when I got pregnant with the boy we lost due to 3 major heart defects he had (not genetic. Genetic counselor tells us it was a complete fluke and an isolated incident), at 6 months pregnant. At that time my husband was 33 and a big thing we did differently in that pregnancy and our other two children is frequency of sex. Very frequent with both healthy children. Then He had gotten a second job and were seeing eachother alot less, he comes home very late. (job which he still has) and intercourse is alot less. We actually had ONE sexual encounter around fertile period for that baby in a very long time! sometimes its weeks. I now wonder and am scared that this could have contributed to my little angels defects, and worried about this pregnancy (If I am pregnant) since he is nearing 35.
For this time around we didnt have intercourse I believe for the whole month (that is including my period stage), then we DTD once two days before our attempt (pull out), and then DTD again on our attempt night. So twice.

I guess Im just looking for some honesty or reassurance. How bad is this? With my other pregnancies I got BFPs pretty early, and with the baby I lost I was days well over my missed period and no BFP during 2ww. At this time being 14 DPO and still negative makes me feel like there are lots of similarities in these two pregnancies that i might not get a positive anytime soon. I almost feel I would be relieved if Im not preg. this month so I can have another shot at correcting this whole frequency thing. I wish so bad this had come to my attention sooner...

Please give me a little time to reply before bumping your post. It can take me up to 5-7 days to get through all the q's in the free forums sometimes and when you bump, all it does is send your post back to my "new" posts. Since I go from oldest to newest, it actually makes it take longer.

Did you have unprotected sex later than that?? because it sounds to me like your ovulation was delayed and you actually ovulated later than you think. You can still be pregnant, just too early to detect on your pregnancy test.

Rarely a woman can be pregnant and not get a positive urine test. How rarely - well, I know of ONE pregnancy in the 10 years I've been doing this. So it's possible but not likely that is happening. Delayed ovulation is much more likely.

There is no magic switch that gets flipped at the age of 35. I have to pick a year to switch over to the FR and since that is the year when statistically the risks start to rise, that's the year I picked. But even if he was 50 years old the risks are very, very minor. It's simply that abstain doesn't even WORK for swaying and thus since it is completely ineffective anyway, I figure why should we even keep it in the mix, and I ditch it for any guy over 35.

Does your husband release on his own at all??

I would not even worry about it anyway since he's not even 35!

I guess i should have been a little more clear about the last pregnancy, when I said I didnt get a BFP, I meant just during the 2WW. I was actually negative up until a 5 days or so past my missed period and even then at first it was negative, and minutes after my doctor had told me Im not pregnant the nurse came back and said she sees a faint line appear but it was past that few minute mark which is not usually counted. So I was sent for bloodwork and confirmed I was. Does this have any indication of an issue to come like my last pregnancy? Does a slow HCG rise mean an issue with the fetus? I feel this is whats happening right now im so confused because it never happened with my first two. I truly feel Im pregnant Im still getting all the twinges and cramping coming and goes I really never do.

That was the last time we had DTD, on December 31 (In the evening around 11 pm so practically next day) and then I got a positive OPK Mid day on January 2nd. How much later could ovulation have been? another day or two? I guess even that would throw off the DPO by a day or two which makes all the difference. My OPK was actually still positive around the same time the next day, January 3. Im still testing negative at this point, my period is due in two days (jan 20). Does it happen very often at this point for a negative to be innaccurate? My tests are 25 miu sensitive.
Thank you for clearing it up for me about the age/abstinence issue. I hope it doesnt have any bearing on the sperm at this point. Guess Im just trying to figure whats going on, if Im out for this month or not. I will re-test tomorrow. Guess I will know soon enough

Even with the previous pregnancy you may have ovulated later than you thought or it may have been faint because the pregnancy wasn't working out. What happened the last time doesn't have any bearing on this month.

If the last time you DTD was on the 31st that's obviously not looking good for you being preggo right now (barring a freakish test that is not turning positive). Is there ANY chance you could be ovulating now?? Maybe the aches and cramps are O pain?? It is vanishingly unlikely that a conception would not be giving you a positive pregnancy test now.

Well Atomic, you were right again my dear...AF showed today. Felt a bit gutted but was somewhat expecting after your message cause it hit me even if I did O a little later then I expected there is no way by now it wouldnt be giving a positive, since I ovulate every month super early compared to others in my cycle (just few days after period). As well as with my last pregnancy last year, you were also right because I did ovulate super super late . In fact my first concern with my Doc was i only had a 7 day Luteal phase, which by counting now makes exact perfect sense why my BFP showed 5 days after my missed period. My cycle now my luteal phase is actually 17 days because of my early O. So this was a bit different. Definitely would show. Kind of glad I know now at least...

and just this morning it occured to me that I wonder if my stomach issues this month were may be the sudden stop to the high dose of cranberry I was taking for 3 months straight. I did stop it before O just this month just in case. I think Im going to drop rephresh as well because i have a feeling that is why I didnt conceive this month. I actually used every last drop of the application before my attempt. We are usually very fertile and every one of my pregnancies occurred on the first attempt (Including my Daughter which I was not tracking ovulation just some random BD days).

I have heard of people having stomach issues from taking cranberry but never from stopping it. Anything is possible though.

:agree: about dropping RepHresh, we usually use it 8 or 12 hours before (or even 24) so it doesn't cut odds of conception so much.
