This is probably the best shot. I'm not sure if it's a 'potty shot' or not - I always thought those were looking upwards at the genitals (as if the camera were at the bottom of a potty the baby was sitting on); this was looking downwards towards the baby's feet. But I'm pretty fuzzy on how the whole ultrasound thing works!

A very possibly unhelpful shot when the tech was looking at the bladder.

Long story short: I asked if we could check the gender and she seemed wary and surprised, saying it was very hard to tell this early (though 14 weeks isn't so early by this forum's standards, right??). At the end of the 'proper' ultrasound (NT testing etc), she said "I thought I saw something peeking out before that might have been a penis, but I'm not sure." She looked at the area again and I agreed, there did seem to be something there. But then she said "It's really too early to tell. At this stage the clitoris can be quite meaty. So I'm thinking maybe boy, but we honestly prefer not to say at this stage." Annoyingly, she didn't photograph those later 'looks'!

So I'm now torn between "Hey, she SAID she wasn't sure" and "Dude, you're in denial, she had to say that so they don't get sued or something, of course it's a boy." (For the record, we were swaying pink.) I'm kindasorta resigned to the boy thing, but gosh, a bit more certainty would be nice! And apparently reading scans is not my hidden talent.

So. Thoughts? (By which I mean "Help, I'm freaking out here!")

I'm not seeing the pictures onyour first post mantee, can you try posting them again for us :)

Looks girly to me. 14 weeks is quite early but I just don't see anything jutting out so nothing's screaming boy to me.

14 weeks isn't actually a gold standard on here! We don't like potty shots before 16 weeks, but nub shots at 13 weeks are good too.

You're in that weird window! BUT, I do think those are pretty girly.
