TTC Girl, ovulating today, need help!

Hi Atomic! I need some help deciding what I should do for my sway... I've been TTC for a year and 7 months... I'm currently on my 4th cycle of Clomid-- first round of 100mg. My first 3 cycles of clomid was 50mg-- i ovulated the first round doing 1 attempt at positive OPK (not conceiving)... then I had to back to back anovulatory cycles while on my second and third round of 50mg. My OBGYN upped my dosage to 100mg for my 4th cycle and told me that I could continue for 3 more cycles at 100mg before he is going to refer me to a RE.

I'm currently on CD17.... We BD yesterday afternoon and I got a positive OPK around 11pm last night (CD16)... during the night I was having more signs of Ovulation-- I experienced very watery CM all night, cramping, BDing is uncomfortable, and I'm extremely bloated.. and my nipples are on fire. lol so I'm really thinking that I'm ovulating today. Would i completely screw up my sway by attempting tonight or tomorrow morning? Prior to CD16 we DTD 3 days before (the E4D 72 hour version). I really really want a girl, and I'm also just getting tired of trying and not succeeding. If I'm going to screw it up by BDing again I won't, but just wanted your opinion.

My Sway includes:
Clomid 100mg days 5-9
folic acid 1600mg
skipping breakfast
added in dairy to get me to O
not eating red meats
BDing E4D
3 cups of coffee daily

That’s one attempt with very good odds of conception. I just got pregnant from a O-3 attempt (only attempt!!). So personally, I would stuck to the one attempt of yesterday! Good luck!

Here are my stats today. Really wish I would've seen a bigger spike in temp. Ovuview is still pinning O early, and I haven't gotten crosshairs in FF.... but I'm pretty certain considering how miserable I was all day plus opks darkness that I Ovulated yesterday. Either way, our attempts should have us covered. I didn't attempt last night after all, I was just too uncomfortable to BD. The mid afternoon attempt the day before was super uncomfortable-- thrusts hurt!

Honestly in your situation, I'd have another attempt. You've been TTC for a very long time and been on Clomid a long time. You need to do whatever it takes to get pregnant at this point. You should at the very least be doing e4d plus one attempt at pos OPK, possibly even SMEP. Atomic may even recommend the atomic fertility diet because you've been trying so long. Hopefully she sees this post soon.

Thanks! My opks are getting lighter as time goes on... so id say that CD16 pm was a positive one, indicating yesterday as day of O. My temps just haven't confirmed it yet

Sure! The E4D can be interpreted as either waiting two or three days in between the days of bding depending on how you count it..... I do the two day in between version (72 hour). It's your preference which one you go with though.

So for my 72 hour version-- Say you BD today, mid day on Tuesday... the next time you'd want to BD is 72 hours from now-- so mid day Friday would be your day :)

Examples of 72 hour version are:
Monday - Thursday
Tuesday - Friday
Wednesday - Saturday
Thursday - Sunday
Friday - Monday
Saturday - Tuesday
Sunday - Wednesday

Examples of the 96 hour version are:
Monday - Friday
Tuesday - Saturday
Wednesday - Sunday
Thursday - Monday
Friday - Tuesday
Saturday - Wednesday
Sunday - Thursday

Thanks Atomic. I stuck with my gut and didn't do an attempt the day I was questioning about. Even though I've been on this journey a long time, my ultimate goal is a baby girl so that's why I didn't do it that day. Still doing E4D until AF in case I'm all screwed up with ovulation..

Still haven't had crosshairs for FF but have them for Ovuview. I finally convinced my doctor to run a new blood panel for me (I may have fibbed and said I'm having another anovulatory cycle ;) ) but I told them I needed to know if I'm ovulating or not and that if they didn't run new bloodwork on me id find another doc bc I'm tired of wasting months! Ha! It worked, I'm going tomorrow evening (after work). Yay!
