The techs see way more than us, so if they said it was impossible to guess due to the cord I would just accept that for now.

It looks to me like a potty shot of a baby that is too young to tell gender from a potty shot and it could be either boy or girl. BUT I have seen several potty shots where the cord was between the legs and the cord looked like genitals. So I would not guess on this shot anyway if the cord was blocking the money shot! :)
