I have been suggested the dot under the nub means likely boy by one person but then others say the dot needs to be above for that? Any help appreciated :)

Leaning girl but the nub could still rise as it's early.
At this point in time it's really too early to guess with certainty because all babies start off looking like girls and once the testosterone kicks in, then and only then do "girl" parts turn into boy parts on some babies. For now, I agree that looks girly but don't get your hopes sky high yet because until the end of the 13th week, babies that look quite girly can still end up being boys. Deffo better than seeing a big ding dong at the 12 week scan though! :)
(note - I say "better" because it sounded like u were hoping for a girl! not because girls are better than boys, of course!!!)
