Can sonographer be wrong?

I haven't spoken to anyone about this and genuinely keeping positive and trying to stay happy but at my 20 week scan i could see blue bits (i think) so when i asked is it a boy? She simply said yes... quickly glimpse into the area for a few seconds and that was that... she wouldn't have told us if i hadn't asked.

Could she be wrong?

I was so adamant i was having a girl, my gut said girl. Gender nub "experts" all said girl...

Yes it's possible the tech is wrong, especially if she just glanced in that area. Techs are people too and can make mistakes. Would you be able to get a gender scan somewhere? Maybe then you'd be able to get a better look at baby. I'm sorry you're in this in between of not knowing for sure. FX it's your girl!

Yes, they can be wrong but the Gender Experts are wrong quite often as well.

I'm afraid feelings don't predict gender in any reliable way.
