Serrapeptase, Nattokinase, Enzymes, Anti-Coagulants?
Hello all, I have questions around the use of enzyme therapy (specifically serrapeptase and nattokinase - which are enzymes like the way probiotics are enzymes for gut health). I take probiotics everyday anyway, it helps with my digestion overall.
I initially came across the use of serrapeptase and nattokinase as possible supplements to heal after a D&E to avoid Asherman's (scarring of the uterus) from forming. There are some studies, and a lot of internet-talk (not very scientific) that such enzymes can prevent scar tissue from forming, because of the anti-coagulant properties. My GP did some research through pub med and said that taking such supps will likely cause no harm, but mostly because doctors generally don't take supps as being too effective. I asked about the risk of the anti-coagulant properties and they said it's fine.
Anyone have any experience taking any of these enzymes?
Or whether anti-coagulants can sway either way, or cause fertilities issues (or help fertility)?
