Swaying pink and anti inflammatory diet
Hi there!
IÂ’ve been lurking here for a few weeks and found A LOT of informations which is awesome but also confusing :p
Hubby and I are starting to think of baby number 2, and since we have a boy IÂ’d looove to have a girl.My son keeps asking for a baby sister too, for some reason. Might be a little complicated to even conceive since he works away. IÂ’m monitoring ovulations but my cycles are so out of whack that there is no way to plan vacations for him with the right timing. Were are hoping it will happen 🤷🏼*♀️.
Anyways I’d like to have your opinions on my diet, since it’s a little weird. I have 2 inflammatory diseases wich can be controled by biologic medication. The medication having horrible side effects I had to quit, and I’ve following the anti inflammatory diet for almost a year now with very good results. I still have flares but they are bareable and I can function and care of my son by myself. I’m not sure about the “swaying” potential of it though. So here are the details, and I would love to know what you all think.
The main rules are:
No gluten/grain except for quinoa and another one which I canÂ’t remember (so I donÂ’t consume obviously)
No dairy
No meat cooked under high temperature (slow cooker and boiling)
No refined sugar, only sugar contained in food naturaly
No alchool
no articificial sweetener (though I do love my coke zero and still have a can one or twice a week)
No corn (I forgot why though)
In a year of following the diet I have lost about 30 pounds. My weight has been steady for 2-3 months now, and I donÂ’t know how I could eat less.
Typical day:
I never eat breakfast, havenÂ’t in ages. I drink black coffee.
I drink teas throughout the day, green, matcha, fruits...
For lunch I usualy have homemade soup (chicken and veggies or beef and veggies). On the weekends I have an omelet. Eggs are a food of choice for people with crohnÂ’s, and IÂ’d like to know if it sways pink or blue.
For dinner I have chicken, meat or fish with veggies. Hardly ever eat rice since IÂ’m not a fan. I eat mostly veggies and chicken.
I drink vegetable juice, tea, water, and sometimes coke zero.
I donÂ’t use much salt as my mom raised me warning me about blood pressure issues in the family. I do like mayonaise in my salads, I buy the half the fat kind.
I take daily prenatal supplements for chronic iron deficiency, adh and some kind of hair supplement to help fix the damage the medication has done to my hair.
Any thing I shoul add/quit in my diet? What do you guys think?
Thank you :)
