Very Worried!!
Hello
I am 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My dh and I had an HUGE fight tonight. :( :( It all started with an over flowing toliet that he did and I had to clean up.... it just got worse from there. :( I was crying and yelling. :( I felt like the world was coming crashing down on me. :( I wish I would have been able to handle it all better but I am not feeling well and exhausted...
Did this emotional stress hurt my tiny little growing baby?? Can it cause a miscarriage or birth defects??? I am seriously worried now. :(
Thank you!

Hi happyheart,
I'm sorry about the fight and that you are worried but i'm positive bubs will be completely fine. The emotional outbursts can be very common especially in very early pregnancy (it's how I knew I was pregnant with my first) but they are not harmful to baby.
Good luck

Thank you!!! :HH:

Thank you! Good point! :)

Fights are the worst. It is so hard not to feel emotional when pg! But your baby will be fine. I think the only kind of stress that causes issues is horrible, long term stuff. Try to relax and you'll be fine.

No no your fine hun!!
I was under extreme stress with my 3rd (dealing with two family deaths just to name a few..) and was told baby would be fine xx

I know how you feel. I'm also 5w4d and I worry because I feel like I'm always stressed about one thing or another. (((hugs)))

as long as the fight did not turn physical you should be fine.

I don't want to be a downer:( but ladies please be careful in early pregnancy before the placenta takes over as the uterus is a non essential organ and in moments of extreme fear (I think its called the flight or fight response) the body takes blood away from non essential areas to use for the essential organs. I'm pretty sure this is the main cause of our last m/c, the mmc timed perfectly with the most evil row we've ever had:( I'm pretty sure you're fine Happy, but to all pregnant ladies just let them win for the 1st 10 weeks ok:) I'm very tempted not to post this but all info is good info maybe.
