Atomic- heres my post again!

Im 10.5 weeks now, and yesterday at 8pm I started bleeding.. orangey/red, period like flow.
I was immediately super scared and in shock. Blood kept coming in.
I called the doctor and he prescribed progesterone (I dont know if they give that in the US) and says he will do an US after 24 hours with no bleeding.
I was an bedrest all night and around 3am bleeding stopped or diminished to 90%.
I had mild cramps during the bleeding. Ive read the combination is not good :(

I still have my pregnancy symptoms like always. Nausea, bad coin taste in mouth, sore boobs, headache.


Im praying this is an hematoma like pbn posted, and if its not, I pray this is the best for the baby.

Ive never ever experienced this.
I have my US today at 6:30pm

Please keep us posted. I did experience period like bleeding at 8 weeks with this pregnancy but I didn't have any cramps. I'm praying that your baby is ok!

Thank you so much for posting this again. I'm sorry I didn't get to it sooner, when I checked I did not see it at first.

Many of us have had the subchorionic hemorrhage (the hematoma) and that is a possibility. Obviously this is not anything that any of us would want to see, but many of us, myself included have had very heavy bleeding early in pregnancy and came out of it with a healthy baby in the end.

ARe you taking any fish oil or pregnancy DHA supplements?

UPDATE!!
Went in for a US and I have an hematoma, baby is all good!!!!!
I feel so blessed and I am now officially in bedrest for a week.

OH that's wonderful!! Can you please tell me what you're taking in terms of DHA/fish oil/aspirin or any other herb or medication because we will need to cut back on some of those things to ensure the bleeding stops.

I was taking Omega 3 and an organic pregnancy vitamin, I stop the Omega right?

Don't stop it. How MUCH every day? Go to every other day and then get back to me about the amount when you can.

What is in the organic pregnancy vitamin?

Let's go to every 2 days on the Omegas and since the dose on the prenatals is 3 per day, please reduce to 1 per day. We'll only do this for a short time till we're sure the bleeding stopped and then we'll gradually increase. Remind me so I can help you do this safely!
