I always have long cycles, normally I O on CD 22-25. Since the diet and supps and all, it is all over the place. Once on CD 14 (that was awesome!) once on CD 19, and on CD 20, 22, and 21.
Thank you Carmella, I've always had the average 27-29 day cycle so Oing late is new to me and long cycles suck! It's going to make TTC seem like such a long wait each month. But good to know of someone that O's on CD in the 20's!
It's a good sign if you're body's doing something different - wonky cycles tend to sway pink! There is also at least one study I've read that concluded that long cycles sway pink. Are you taking Vitex or Saw P?
That's good to hear Zanacal. No I'm not taking either but am taking the usual IG sups. Do you think it would make a difference? Just a very low cal bland diet only milk, rice, pasta, rice crispies and home made pancake. I've had green beans and leeks once this month and a small bit of chocolate when I fell off the wagon.
It may be the diet if you've lost a lot of weight or are very thin? I don't think any of the other supplements would have an effect on O - though I could be wrong!
ANY time you go on a restrictive diet, that can alter your menstrual cycle.
The good news is, that's probably what is doing the swaying for you. Restrictive diet = less estrogen = longer time to O
I always ovulate a bit later than normal, but the 2 months before doing the sway it was cd 17 ish, the month of my bfp it felt like my body geared up for cd17 but didnt ovulate (I stupidly relaxed the diet thinking I had Ovulated) and then I ovulated on cd 21.
So keep up with your sway until O hasnt def. happened lol.
If you ALWAYS O later in your cycle, it's prob. just how your body operates. What we're looking at is CHANGES in your cycle. That tells us interesting information that may be important. We have at least one study that indicated longer cycles = more girls conceived tho.
