Question about splime/lime douche and lime tampon

So last night i made a douche of 1 part lime and 4 parts distilled water I did a 15ml douche 1hr before dtd, my dh gave his sample in my diva cup which I then added 6 small drops of made up lime douche lime douche to it gently swished it around then placed my diva cup in for 10 mins while I lay down with slightly tilted hips (I warmed the douche b4 adding the drops) then took the diva cup which was empty and I didnt have much run out at all, I then put a tampon in lime douche for 30 mins then put it in and went to bed, my question is do I need yo keep a lime tampon in until ovulation has pasted to keep my ph down? I did a OPK this morning and got a positive so I'm unsure how long to keep my ph down, but ever since I deposited the dh sample I've had lower stomach ache all day so far surely it's 2 early for pregnancy yet? And do you think it's a good sway for girl??

Oh I forgot to add I placed the diva cup in very shallow was uncomfortable but I didn't want it all the way in lol

Well, I don't recommend doing any of that stuff but yes according to those who recommend this method, you're supposed to keep a lime douche in till ovulation has occurred. Just be very careful with it as there is, of course the risk of TSS that comes with any tampon use.

I suspect your low stomach pain is from the douche as many people report that. Yes, far too early for pregnancy, if you just got positive OPK today you've not even ovulated yet. The crampiness could also be from ovulation coming.

I don't believe douches alone are enough for a sway (when we had a statistician analyze the results with douching, they did not appear to work at all) but you did one attempt and one attempt is effective for pink.

are you doing anything else for your sway?? Diet, exercise, that kind of thing?

I am not a fan of shallow release because it cuts odds of conception very far. Let's hope that keeping the cup in for a while helped the sperm make it up to the cervix.

I do cardio 5 days a week for an hr, I try to do the diets but I struggle so bad with it so swaying with a diet isn't anything to go by.

:agree: Brilliant, one of our best sway tactics is the exercise.

You can always just go vegetarian, we've had good results with that approach too for people who just can't manage dieting. :)

I'm not a fan of cranberry supps (they didn't work according to the statistician and also are riskier than people realize) but if you want to use them, just be sure that you've stopped them at ovulation because taking them into early pregnancy may cause or contribute to miscarriage.

I don't recommend shallow penetration for ANYONE. Let me explain why.

There is NO evidence that shallow penetration helps. And we know for a fact it cuts odds of conception to nothing. I have had people who were going on and on (several of them) not getting pregnant. I had them dropping sway tactics and even adding things that swayed blue and they STILL weren't getting pregnant. Eventually I found out that they were all doing shallow release and when I had them drop that, they got pregnant right away. Shallow release makes it SO hard to get pregnant and that's especially true when douching and using lime tampon. Occasionally people do manage to conceive, but it just takes so much longer till it happens and since it isn't shown to help anyway, I'd just be very cautious pursuing that course of action when you're doing so much harsh stuff to start with. :)
