Hi. Does anyone know if this test/site is reliable to determine gender from 9 weeks? It says its 99% accurate so I was wondering if anyone knew of this test? This is a New Zealand site but it looks like you can get the test done in most countries. Thanks heaps

Hi, I'd never heard of it but looks interesting especially as they also do other types of DNA testing. Will be interesting to see what ppl say.
Yes it looks interesting. Its a lot of money but dh said we should do it as he wants to know as early as possible. Someone on In-gender did the test and she was very confident in it. Someone else said it was a scam but I think she may have been confusing it with another type of test?
someone on another forums I post on paid for this, was swaying pink, the results came back blue, but at her next scan it was confirmed to be a girl afterall
I tried the Intelegender at home test and it was right for my DD, if it had been proven wrong i wouldn't have minded too much because it was a cheap bit of fun. You should just check if the company has a refund policy if their testing proves to be wrong in the end.
I have been wondering about this test too. I think I saw there is a refund policy and something like a 95% accuracy rating. I saw a CNN piece on it a while ago but one thing that worries me about it is it says something about previous boy pregnancies messing with the results.

In our case, I wound up paying for 2 additional u/s, because I couldn't believe the blood test had been wrong. The company gave me double my money back, but others weren't so lucky. It's definitely your decision, but I'd be skeptical of any results until you have an u/s to confirm.
I have heard the blood test is quite inaccurate but this one is a urine based test . There isn't a lot of feedback about the easy-dna urine test but was hoping it may have been a way to determine early gender. I guess not even ultrasounds are 100% so you never really know until you hold the baby in your arms.Quote:
