TTC BOY Femara Support Thread

Is there a Femara support thread on the TTC Boy forum? I know there is one on the TTC Girl forum.

i have been TTC boy for a year now with only one chemical pregnancy. Possible PCOS (I have been tested, but it is not clear). According to OPKs, BBT, and when they have tested me, I appear to ovulate monthly. I have been on Metformin 500 mg ER to help strengthen ovulation.

This month I was just put on Femara 5 mg for 5 days. I just went to my CD11 scan, and I have 3 follicles, one 15 mm, one 16 mm, and one 19 mm. Uterus lining is 6.2. I have no idea if any of this is ideal or not.

I have been actively TTC Boy. Definitely frustrated by this process. And by having to add Femara, which i know can sway girl. Not sure what to do to strengthen my boy sway at this point. I follow the HE diet guideline of protien + carb, and breakfast daily and workout occasionally.

I don't know if there is one but this is the only one I"m aware of.

What are you guys doing for number of attempts??

We do one attempt the night of positive OPK and one attempt the following night. DH can’t do 2 in one day.

We also bd about every 4 days prior to positive OPK.

We just also did our first IUI along with Femara this cycle. We will see if it takes!

Husband does not have MF issues, but the RE suggested we add it to our arsenal.

Is anyone else TTC boy on Femara??

Ok. That's a good way to do it. Keep up the good work.

:agree: with trying IUI in addition to this in case there is some benefit for that.

Is there any way you could have another attempt after the following night attempt?? That way if O is delayed it will help cover your bases plus will count as a third attempt in that case.
