12 weeks on LE diet
60 mins cardio (most just walk) 6-7 days a week
coffee
alcohol (if you drink)

LE Diet longer than 12 weeks plus coffee, alcohol, fiber, and giving up fortified foods and multivitamins.
Cardio exercise 60 min a day, 6-7 days a week, but 4 or more dayss also got good results.

For your husband, smoking, and jogging/biking are proven in studies to sway pink. Olive leaf extract and soy milk may also help for him.
None of the rest of the various tactics have seemed to work.
