Comments regarding DW's diet changes-
I followed LE but on the higher limits of calories/fat/protein because my cycles went irregular after losing weight. I really tried to cut out snacking (which was the hardest part and a HUGE change from my normal day where I am a grazer), I was planning to take a break from TTC and did relax on the diet in the 2-3 weeks before we conceived

Yes

Did DH change his diet with you?
He cut back on meat and cut out his multi vitamins

Comments regarding DH's diet-
DH pretty much ate the same as usual other than less meat and he did add a 12 ounce glass of soy milk to dinner every night.

Did you consume alcohol?
Never

DId you try to limit caffeine?
No, I drank 2-4 cups of coffee daily!

Any Diet Details?
Ate mostly vegetarian, lots of “fake meat” substitutes (mostly Quorn brand because it’s soy-free)and very small amounts of chicken or fish occasionally, I haven’t eaten red meat for over 10 years. The biggest change for me was I cut out snacking, that was a huge struggle!

I exercised on the elliptical trainer 5-6 days a week for 45-60minutes for 4 months leading up to when we conceived but my elliptical broke a couple weeks before so I was doing youtube dance work out videos instead, still for 45-60min but more like 3 or 4 days a week

I quit using OPK’s so idk when I actually ovulated but we did BD cycle day 7, 9, and 15 (I think I conceived on day 15 based off an early U/S) but I had been ovulating late the few months prior so I was shocked

• Myo-Folate (Myo inositol) {HUGE DISCLAIMER, I was advised by Atomic not to take any herbs and I know she does not recommend this for people unless they are overweight with bad PCOS but I was so frustrated by my long (40-45 day) cycles that I was desperate to try anything to regulate it and all my google searches lead me to Myo inositol so I decided to try it. I was only on it for 30 days before I got my BFP and then I weaned off}

Things that make me feel great about my sway:
Long time on the diet and keeping up on my exercise, hubby sticking with the daily soy milk and cutting out meat, only one attempt during my fertile window.

Things that make me nervous about my sway:
I relaxed on the diet and exercise in the last few weeks before we conceived because we were planning to take a break. The fact that my husband has 5 brothers and no sisters and even his aunt has only 3 boys, so there is definitely a male dominance there.

Things worth mentioning:
During my sway and in the months gearing up I spent a lot of time in prayer and really cried out to the Lord and asked that either he bring us a healthy daughter or he remove the pain and desire for her from our hearts. I really believe in the power of prayer and I think it also helped me to have a more positive mindset going into the sway that no matter the outcome God has his plan for our family and it is greater than mine.

I want to say a huge huge HUGE thank you to Atomic for all the time you put in everyday to answer questions and all the essays you’ve written on this site. I never thought I would have a daughter so I just can’t thank you enough for helping our dreams come true!!!!
