Pebmcp~THere are different diets. The one on her many ladies are doing is the LE (low everything). To start you can look at January's thread and see examples of what we eat. Also if you become a member (12 a year) well worth it, you get access to the entire plan, meal ideas, snacks etc.. Its about staying within ranges of fat, sodium, calories. You also want to skip breakfast, and do not snack in between meals to keep your blood sugar low.
hi all hey pebmcp6 welcome, not sure about the quacker oats on the LE diet an the milk thing you may want to be careful off as the calcium in it, (very healthy), all depends which diet your doing ?
Thx, LMN! Peb, you may want to forego the oats b/c oats raise testosterone and may be healthier than we would like on a girl sway. I know they're on the boy swayer's list of go-to foods. On the LE diet, you can incorporate almost anything but some things would need to be in moderation. I would try to just have oats once in a while if you really miss them. HTH!
BTW, peb, not sure about the "crackbread"...I'm not familiar w/that. Anyone know anything about this?
good morning, ladies :) well.. almost noon here. today is my first day on the diet! I am having egg whites for breakfast for a week until I can completely get ride of breakfast! I've got a white pita with hummus, cucumbers, lettuce and a little tomato and a slice of baby swiss for lunch today! as well as green grapes and strawberries and yoplait light! seems like a lot of food.
Hi everyone,
I too am just starting the LE diet (yesterday was my first day). I'm using myfitnesspal, which is really handy. I am going to try to wean myself from my morning coffee, I'm worried about either the antioxidants in the coffee or something in the caffeine messing me up.
Yesterday I ate:
Lunch: an apple with 2tb. peanut butter (I know PB is not that great but I was starving!)
Dinner: 3/4 c. unenriched white rice, steamed broccoli & cauliflower + 1tsp. unsalted butter, 1 yoplait light yogurt
plus coffee with sugar and milk in the A.M. (If I can't give up the coffee, I will at least drop the sugar/milk this week)
I'm going to the grocery store today to get some hint of salt Wheat Thins so I won't have to resort to peanut butter again. When you eat pasta do you find an unenriched type? All the pastas I see are enriched with Iron and B-vitamins... is this ok since we are only eating maybe 1 serving a day?
myGirl, I am using it as well :) love the fact that you can track sodium, protein etc and you can scan items.. well on my iPhone app.
never realised there was so many diets, I am now more confused!!!!!!!!!!
