Complicated situation, swaying girl, help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏🏼

Hi all! Ive been stalking this website for literal YEARS and now, my partner and I have been ttc/swaying for a girl (our last baby) for the past four months with no success. The first month, I was taking cranberry and hubby was taking cranberry and spearmint. I also want to add that we both are on SSRIs (Prozac for me, Lexapro for hubby). Hubby is 38 and significantly overweight, I’m 29 and while I’m not overweight, I weigh significantly more than I did when I conceived my boys. But back to my sway, initially, we were trying the Baby Dust Method so we tried to do a cut off and it ended up being too far out. The subsequent months, we kept taking the same supplements but I added in Replens and I tried to have him frequent release but that was too much for him and when it was go time, he barely could “finish the deed”. This very last month, I had hubby drop the spearmint and instead take OLE and I added in a prenatal vitamin for myself. I still used Replens but initially I was using it an hour before dtd but this last month, I used the Replens every 3 days after AF ended up until my +OPK (which, unfortunately for me, ended up being the same day we did our one attempt). As you see, I am ALL over the place and I thought I knew what I was doing but CLEARLY I don’t. I strongly strongly believe that the SSRIs and my already low pH may already be lowering his sperm count and that the extra things may be completely depleting (especially the Replens) it but I’m really not sure. With my boys, I know for a FACT (although I was not tracking consistently) that we dtd back to back (possibly two days in a row or a day in between) right on ovulation (solid smiley face on Clearblue digital opk). I also know that I have a tilted uterus (I’m not sure how that will play into all of this). I really don’t know what to do at this point. We tried the one attempt this month right on my +opk with him abstaining for about 6 days and still a BFN. I am willing to try the one attempt one last time but if I am going to get pregnant, it has to happen no later than September/October (preferably September) in order to not clash with other things we have going on next year. I just need a bit more guidance. It would be lovely if Atomic could weigh in since she’s the Sway Sensei *hehe* sorry this was so long, I literally have ONE shot left because hubby is adamant about stopping at three and honestly, so am I, I dont think my body could handle anymore pregnancies after three. So a few questions - are you doin any diet or exercise??

If you must do Replens you need to use it no sooner than 8 hours before. You basically had no chance of conception when you were using it only an hour before, and even less so with a cutoff involved. 12-24 hours may be more beneficial if you feel the need to continue with it. But we have not seen the jellies working at all with the same number of people getting boys and girls with and without them.

What I would do is mentally start over again. Those attempts are not really "attempts" as you had probably slim to no chance of conception. I would NOT have you be taking prenatals now, that is not why you haven't gotten pregnant. Wean back off them. I would also have you wean off cranberry as we do not mix that with SSRI.

Do you have your husband taking OLE and cranberry?? that is a no-no. OLE is a replacement for cranberry, you are no0t supposed to take them both together. And I would not recommend using any of these things with an SSRI.

A 38 year old guy shouldnot have been doing abstain to begin with, and certainly not with the SSRI and overweight. Have him do regular release every 2-4 days from here on in. Abstain has not worked and basically makes unhealthy sperm for no benefit.

Since you HAVE TO get pregnant in the next 3 months you need to drop all this stuff anyway and I would recommend going to every 4 days - have sex unprotected starting after your period ends and going through till when you are sure you have ovulated, even if it means going all the way through till the next cycle begins. Count the days as every 72 hours (it does NOT need to be this set number of hours, this is just how you count the days, so M/Th/Su, etc) Then, if you really really need to conceive, add in one more attempt at positive OPK but you don't have to do this, it may sway blue to add that additional attempt.

Oh my goodness, I’ve been doing everything wrong! Because I did have him taking the cranberry with the OLE. So if I’m understanding correctly, we should drop all the supplements? And I will definitely drop the Replens, I really didn’t want to add it initially but I heard it had really good results so I decided to give it go. But I am definitely open to giving the one attempt a few tries and we’ll just have to figure it out if it happens later than we are hoping for as I’ve seen you say that the one attempt has a really good success rate. With that, if I’m understanding correctly, we can have sex whenever as long as it’s protected and then have one unprotected attempt on +OPK right? I am so glad I asked you all this because now it makes sense why I haven’t gotten pregnant yet smh thanks Atomic! ❤️🙏🏼

Have him wean off the cran and OLE. Don't drop them suddenly.

I do not give supplements other than folic acid/folate and fiber with SSRI. They likely already sway pink and I do not want to do anything that could harm you or your sway since we have no idea how they sway (regardless of what people claim on some other sites there really is not a good body of evidence on any of this) Plus, none of the supplements have even worked for us.

yep that's right, protected sex is ok, it's unprotected that needs to be the one attempt! But like I mention - given your short timeline I would consider doing the e4d. It's getting good results and will up your odds of conception NOT because it's more than one attempt - because really it's just one attempt in the fertile window - but because it guards against you miscalculating when your ovulation is going to occur and ensures you are always in with an attempt.
