Pretty Sure it’s a boy

I’m 13 weeks 5 days. I had a nuchal translucency scan today. The tech was looking around at the baby and asked what genders our 2 children are. I told her that we have 2 girls and are dying to know this baby’s gender because we would love to have a boy. As soon as she started looking around, it was very obvious that this baby is a boy!! She confirmed and said that she’s 97% sure that this baby is a boy!! I was so surprised that it was obvious this soon. This isn’t the greatest picture but it was pretty clear on the screen. I’m still slightly afraid of getting my hopes though. I’m planning to schedule a private scan soon to try to confirm again. Does this look like a boy to everyone else?? [emoji170][emoji170][emoji170]

Well, the techs see a lot more than we do in the scan and if she is saying it's a boy then it very likely is.
That having been said, potty shots at this gestation are not reliable. I would likely give it a couple weeks and go for the private scan and you'll be able to be certain.

It looks like a boy, but there’s no scrotum visible (or labia/clitoris) in that image, so I’d wait for a confirmation to make sure it’s not part of the cord. That said, this is just a still shot at one point of the scan and there could have been plenty of clearer views other than this image.
