New... and hesitant
Hi!
My name is Kristen, I have three boys and live in the Boston area. I tried many different swaying techniques when trying to conceive my second, and especially my third child. I always, always thought that I would have a daughter and still picture my family with one. I had significant PPD after my third who is now eight months, mainly due to the fact that a daughter did not look to be in my future. I could name a thousand reasons why I want a daughter for myself and family. In December, my husband agreed to look into gender selection through IVF for a girl and I'm just starting the info process. I feel hesitant, scared, overwhelmed and sometimes crazy for looking into this process, but also know I want a daughter more than anything. I joined this group to get more information and support as this is not something I am discussing with anyone in my life, except my sister. Thank you!

Hi Kristin,
I know what you mean that it is hard to turn to people for what you are going thru. I've been thru it more than I care to admit. I've known about high tech gender PGD for years now, but the cost left it too far out of reach. After reading all the helpful info on this site I have decided to go for it! I have a complimentary phone consult set up with DR Potter in the next few weeks, and have already received all the pricing thru his supportive staff. Pricing is not as bad as it was years ago either, depending on where you go.
Good luck in your journey!
