im taking vitex all cycle right now. once i start ttc again in april what is the best way to take it. i have been told it's best to not stop it but then how do you wean off once you get a bfp? and do you wean off baby aspirin? stop at ovulation? is it safe?
Vitex is fine to stop at O and in fact you should stop it at O. It mimics your body's natural cycle, which is 2 weeks of estrogen followed by a sudden shift to progesterone at O. Do NOT take vitex if you may be pg because stopping it suddenly THEN actually may trigger a mc.
Baby aspirin is safe to take until you get a BFP and in fact stopping it cold turkey is dangerous. Then gradually wean off of it by extending the number of days between when you take it, over a period of 2-3 weeks.
Both baby aspirin and vitex are safe according to my research as long as you follow the above tips.
