Yesterday I got almost positive on the opk test, so we did a try. I just feel like I had very little EWCM(TMI, sorry) and now I feel a bit worried for that, like I ruined my chance of a boy. Is it a lot more likely to not become pregnant with a boy with a small amount of egcm? And also, today the opk test is super strong and my cervix is also super open. Was it way to early BD yesterday night? Should we try again tomorrow? ( Don't think we will have the chance today:-( )
I don't think you have anything to worry about, infact i think your attempt last night will definatly help your sway. There will hopefully be sperm up inside your fallopian tubes waiting for the egg to pop which will probably be today or tomorrow, if i was you i would definatly do another attempt tonight so that you have the most amount of sperm in there, which is best for a boy sway. But if you don't have the chance tonight, definatly try for tomorrow.
If you are worried about the EWCM, you could use preseed or actual egg whites with your next attempt. I would definitely try again tomorrow (could you try in the am, or even squeeze in an attempt late tonight?)
Thanks for your answers! I hope we can try one more time today (it is already late here and we have guests) but if not, is the attempt ruined and there is no point trying tomorrow?
I would DEF have you try again tomorrow if your test is potitve today!!! That would actually be ideal because you'd have two attempts in the fertile window, 2 days apart which is optimum for sperm count and quality!!
You did NOT ruin your chance for a boy. The fact is that we don't even KNOW how much any of these things sway (or if they even do!) Some people who were swaying pink and doing everything they could do to get rid of every speck of CM they had, went onto conceive boys anyway!!

I would really urge people start using Preseed exclusively - I've just heard a very disturbing report about someone from IG who may have used room temperature egg whites while swaying blue (they did MSU) and got a very rare salmonella infection in their IUD (docs said their IUD was crawling with salmonella) that ate thru their uterus, went into their spine and infected their brain - they were in a coma for days and almost died. :( I have not been able to contact this person to verify whether they did in fact use egg whites or not but until I know definitively I really, really am not wanting people to use egg whites.Quote:

Yeah, I just read that update on the EW thread. SO gross and scary!! I used EW in 2 attempts and was fine, but no BFP. I got pg with preseed on the first try. I guess I was lucky that I didn't get an infection with the EW!
Thank you so much for your answers, you are so nice in here! That sounds really scarry with the ew! I have never tried it becuause it seems a little bit scary to me. I would like pre seed and think I am going to order it online if don't become pregnant this month.
Kiara, they sell preseed at CVS pharmacies, if you live near one (not sure if you are in the USA).
Kiara, I responded on your other message and also PM'd you but I think you should hold off buying that Preseed for right now! ;)
