Should I add Vitex? And would that help my chances of a BFP?

Hi Ladies, we have been TTC for 4-5months now.... the first 2 months I can pretty much rule out though as I was only giving myself one shot a month to fall pg with a cut off, and whilst that can work for some, it obviously does not work for all!

The last 3 attempts have been BD through O with Rephresh and/ or Sylk, and now I am dropping these as it may be hindering me getting a BFP. Last cycle I used half an applicator of Rephresh in the morning of O-1 I think? We BD that night and on the night of O, as well as from 2 days before. This cycle I will not use Rephresh at all and try to up my chances.

Also, I have always had a very regular cycle- 25 or 28 days, Usually O on Day 11 or 13 depending on legnth of cycle. I have been reluctant to take Vitex as I was worried it would stuff up my cycle... would adding Vitex increase my chances on a BFP? I am also contemplating adding it as i have pretty much just been doing diet and supps (calcium, magnesium, vit c, cranberry, folate) but longer on the diet = diet gradually weakening for every month I do not see a BFP, I was htinking adding Vitex might strenthen it back up again?

I do not think you should add vitex now. I don't think it will have enough time to work for you and it prob. will mess with your cycle so you'll get the downsides without any benefit. Just try next month without the RepHresh.

Hi, I took vitex for the first time this cycle after ttc for 4 months. I took it as I had read it sways girl and I am only taking baby aspirin not cranberry or calcium/magnesium.

I have always had very regular cycles my whole life of 28 days with ovulation on day 13-14 and AF always 14 days after O. After taking the vitex for 1 cycle just from AF to O, I ovulated on CD10 and AF arrived 9 days later!! I had a LP of just 9 days. My entire cycle lasted just 20 days and that has never happened. As you know you can't conceive with an LP of just 9 days. I haven't decided whether to continue with it.

Remember tho, we may WANT our cycles to get a little odd when we sway pink and that may be how vitex works - if your cycles have always been regular and you conceived boys, then it may be that a different cycle length may mean different results in terms of gender.. I DO think that vitex for most people is a good bet even if it does make our cycles different temporarily - it's just that unless it has enough time to work, then it's kinda pointless and you risk screwy cycles for no benefits.
