Had contractions for two hours last night and they fizzled out. I was up all night on the toilet lol. No news besides that. :worry:

Fx cosmosis..ive had regualar bh but nowt too painfull.. feeling lots of pressure below everytime she moves though and having my sweep tomorrow so i may have my wee girl tomorrow but if it fails she will be out this thursday anyway...yikessss im so excited but crapping myself aswel, has anyone heard if kelly had her baby girl x

Hi all!

Cosmos - praying that you get to see your new little one real soon!

I am scheduled for induction on the 6th at 39w. They still will not do anything except wait and see right now. My Proteins were 462 (normal upper range is in the 200's), but my BPs are high but stable. Ugh. The headaches are no fun either. I pray that everything turns out ok in the end, but at least there is an end in sight. Maybe all the walking tonight with taking the kids Trick or Treating will help. :) I can hope at least.

Excited for you cosmo! Going through the blue ttc threads together I hope for a healthy and easy birth for you but also your boy as well.

Soooooooo, my water broke yesterday evening after an hour of contractions. I had irregular contractions all night and they fizzled out. Midwife had me go to the hospital today for an assessment and I'm going in tonight for pitocin u_u gonna try and get some contractions going on my own now until I go in.

Does anyone know the amount of mobility allowed during an induction like this? Last time I was tied down to my bed and this baby is not engaged and this is the main problem. If he/she gets engaged my labor will progress quickly, I'm sure of it.

Hard to say cos. Some hospitals require constant monitoring while on pit - so in the bed. :( I would push for as mobile as possible though since that is much better for all. HUGS and praying for a swift delivery for you.

I think it depends on the practitioner. They let me walk around with my IV line, and they let me get up to use the bathroom all I wanted. The only time I was tied down to the bed was during the monitoring of her heart rate. Once it stabilized, I was able to resume getting up as much as I wanted to.

On pitocin you will need continuous monitoring. They can use remote monitors without cords if they have them. You can still sit on a ball, etc...

My induction went ahead as planned last thursday 26th. I had gel at 8.30am and was brought to be reassessed at 7.30pm where they broke my waters, started getting quite intense pains straight away and began to use the gas and air. At 8.15 nurse asked if i wanted to be checked and i said there was no point as it never tells me anything as I can go from 3 to 10 very quickly and hearing i was at 3 would devastate me lol. A couple of minutes later I felt some pressure at the end of a contraction which i managed to breathe through, i told the nurse i felt pressure but didnt feel pain was bad enough that baby was near but on the next contraction her head popped out which shocked us all. So here is Amelia Grace who was born at 8.21pm weighing 7lb 11.

So, I have a question. I have had no appetite really for the past few weeks. All of a sudden I am starving today. I cannot eat enough. Could this be a sign of labor coming? Just wondering. :)

She arrived after 45 minutes of painfull contractions..the best birth ive had with no pain relief im still in shock.. 8lb 11 at 38 weeks..im so in love with her ladies..xx

I'm 38w (by ultrasound), 38w Tues by my period... I keep thinking I have all this time left but I need to get moving on finishing stuff up!

I feel contractions at night that wake me and the aching/crampy in my cervix... I can't believe I'm down to days and weeks... I'm not feeling prepared. I might be in denial. [emoji1]
